Garlic Recipes You’ll Love

Garlic is an extremely versatile ingredient. It can be used in everything from pasta sauce to salad dressing, and can even be chopped and thrown into the salad itself! Here are several recipes to choose from that show how much fun garlic can be to cook with:

Quick and Easy Chive Dressing

Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup chopped fresh chives

1 chopped green onion

1 clove garlic, peeled

1 tablespoon tarragon vinegar

1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

In a blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, green onion, garlic, vinegar, tarragon, sugar and Worcestershire sauce and blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until serving. It will keep up to three days in the refrigerator.

Creamy Tomato Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, not drained

1 tablespoon dried basil leaves

3/4 teaspoon white sugar

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon butter

In a saucepan, saute onion and garlic in olive oil over medium heat. Make sure it doesn’t burn. Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and continue to boil 5 minutes or until most of the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat; stir in heavy cream and butter. Reduce heat and simmer 5 more minutes.

Enjoy!
